Holiday Performance Brought Joy and Good Cheer

The holidays and first month of 2015 have been extremely busy, so this is a belated thanks and tribute to The Sunnyside Singers and Jenny Armor for their fabulous musical program titled "Christmas is..."

A combination of familiar and not-so-familiar holiday songs were performed with grace and charm under the direction of and accompanied on the piano by Dorothy Whaley. From the opening number to the closing classics, The Sunnyside Singers brought the spirit of the season to life. The Sing-a-Long, with Chaplain Jarvis, engaged the whole audience in singing familiar holiday tunes.

Special guest artist Jenny Armor was outstanding, amazing all with her performances of The Skater's Waltz, with Dorothy Whaley on piano, and Accolay's Concerto No. 1 in A Minor. This 12-year-old has been studying violin since the age of 5, and she has attended the Philadelphia International Music Festival for the last four years.

Many who enjoyed the performance stayed to enjoy a lovely luncheon.
