Romigs' Flute and Piano Performance Opens the Season
The wife-and-husband team of Karen and Christopher Romig returned to the Sarasota Music Club to open the 2014-2015 season on October 17.
Karen is tall, graceful and elegant, and she plays the flute with a rich, warm sound and plenty of technique in her fingers and embouchure. She is the Star playing the gorgeous melodies, while Christopher is the Hero, providing the perfect setting every time with great sensitivity and skill.
Their program was based on operatic melodies, one beautiful tune after another - some old favorites and some rarely heard. All were lovely to the ear.
